Premarin Vaginal Cream (conjugated estrogens) is a mix of estrogen hormonal agents, a female sex hormone produced by the ovaries, used to treat the vaginal symptoms of menopause such as dryness, burning, inflammation, and painful sexual intercourse.
This medication is a female hormone. It is used by women to help lower vaginal symptoms of menopause (such as vaginal dryness/burning/itching). These symptoms are brought on by the body earning less estrogen. Estrogens that are taken by mouth, absorbed through the skin, or injected may have greater risks of side effects due to more estrogen being taken in.
