Special Precautions

Certain precautions should be taken to help minimize risks:

  • Avoid applying Momate Cream to broken or infected skin.

If you or someone using Momate Cream experiences any of the above side effects, especially the serious ones, contact your healthcare provider promptly. It’s essential to follow the recommended guidelines provided by your doctor and report any unusual symptoms or concerns.

Remember that while side effects can be concerning, the benefits of the medication for your specific condition may outweigh the potential risks. Your doctor has prescribed Momate Cream after assessing that the benefits to you are greater than the risk of side effects. Always discuss any concerns you might have about side effects with your healthcare provider, who can provide you with the guidance necessary to use this medication safely and effectively.

Momate cream as you currently know is a steroid containing cream that when used for long leads to dependency of skin. So unexpected interruption of such creams results in flare up of existing condition and inflammation of skin generally related to itch/ burning experience.

In such cases, I choose to advise milder effectiveness steroid like hydrocortisone for a week then taper it gradually. Alongwith oral antihistaminics like levocetrizine for symptomatic relief are offered.

Put lots of moisturisers over face multiple times a day and have strict sun defense.
Consult your Dermatologist in person for prescription. I make sure he would concur with my tips.
